SOCIAL CAUSE 2025
Social cause 2025: WWF Colombia
This year, Bogotá Half Marathon is joining forces with WWF Colombia because we know that sports and health depend on a healthy planet. To run, breathe, and live in harmony, we need clean air, pure water, and a thriving natural environment, where species and biodiversity play a crucial role in maintaining ecosystem balance.
This partnership strengthens our commitment to sustainable sports, integrating actions that leave a positive impact on the world.
Kilometers That Save Species
At WWF Colombia, we are committed to protecting our country’s natural treasures and ensure a sustainable future for all. From conserving our majestic forests and protecting endangered species to empowering local communities to become environmental guardians.
Running connects you to nature and its most iconic protectors: the jaguar roaming our jungles, the sea turtle navigating the oceans, and the Andean bear watching over our mountains. These species face significant threats, but with Kilometers That Save Species, your steps and passion for running help protect them and keep our country’s ecosystems alive.
Together, we can ensure that these symbols of life continue to inspire us with every step we take.

Run for Nature, Adopt a Species
Take your commitment to the next level! We invite you to learn more about our work and become an active part of species conservation by symbolically adopting one.
Adopt a SpeciesWith your support, we achieved:

Going into the field to monitor species
Wildlife serves as a vital indicator of nature’s health, and monitoring them is essential for conservation. Among the species we track, the jaguar stands out as a key predator that maintains ecosystem balance. Using camera traps, we collect valuable data on their behavior and habitat, allowing us to protect them more effectively and secure their survival in the wild.
Training with Local Communities
Conservation is strongest when it’s a collective effort. That’s why we work closely with local communities, providing training, supporting wildlife monitoring programs, and developing tools that enhance research and biodiversity conservation. By empowering local leaders, we create lasting solutions for protecting ecosystems and the species that call them home.

Protecting Their Home
We are committed to restoring areas degraded by human activities, bring them back to life and rebuilding habitats for wildlife. By rehabilitating these ecosystems, we ensure that species not only survive but thrive in their natural environments.
