SOCIAL CAUSE 2025
Social cause 2025: WWF Colombia
This year, Bogotá Half Marathon is joining forces with WWF Colombia because we know that sports and health depend on a healthy planet. To run, breathe, and live in harmony, we need clean air, pure water, and a thriving natural environment, where species and biodiversity play a crucial role in maintaining ecosystem balance.
This partnership strengthens our commitment to sustainable sports, integrating actions that leave a positive impact on the world.
Kilometers That Save Species
At WWF Colombia, we work tirelessly to protect our country’s natural treasures and ensure a sustainable future for all. From conserving our majestic forests and protecting endangered species to empowering local communities to become environmental guardians.
Running connects you with nature and its most iconic protectors: the jaguar roaming our jungles, the sea turtle navigating the oceans, and the Andean bear watching over our mountains. These species face significant threats, but with Kilometers That Save Species, your steps and passion for running help protect them and keep our country’s ecosystems alive.
Together, we can ensure that these symbols of life continue to inspire us with every step we take.

Run for Nature, Adopt a Species
We invite you to learn more about our work and take your support one step further. Symbolically adopt a species and become an active part of its protection.
Adopt a SpeciesWith your support, we achieved:

Going into the field to monitor species
We are always attentive to wildlife, as they are key indicators of nature’s health. Among them, we monitor jaguars using camera traps to gather valuable information about their behavior and habitat. This helps us protect them more effectively and ensure their survival in the wild.
Training with Local Communities
We work hand in hand with local communities, promoting training and monitoring programs, and developing tools that strengthen research and biodiversity conservation.

Protecting Their Home
We work with dedication to restore areas degraded by human activities, aiming to bring them back to life and rebuild the habitats of these species.
